BEYOND ALTNAHARRA

Altnaharra is a remote and isolated community of a few house and an hotel surrounded by vast rolling wet moorlands and distant hills. In this loose gestural style panting painted with a palette knife, in muted earth tones and blue grey.
I have tried to convey the huge distances of the moors and its hills on the horizon, with a fast flowing river in spate. This area is well known for its trout and salmon fishing as well as its cold record break in winter temperatures.
