CAITHNESS DAWN
In this this contemporary Scottish fine art landscape painting of the mountains of Caithness I have tried to convey the atmosphere of an early morning dawn with a watery sunrise rising slowly between the distant hills. There is only a hint of the sun behind the cloudy grey sky.
Painted in muted earth tones of grey and brown, representing the small lochans of the flow country peat moorland, the largest area of peat bog in Europe. Caithness is the most northerly county of the Scottish mainland a great part of which is composed of wild and remote tranquil wet moorland composed of myriads of tiny lochs and peaty pools. A unique and desolate yet beautiful area of Britain countryside. An original acrylic art painting on 8 x 8 inch box canvas with black painted edges ready to hang. Original Sold Available as professionally printed signed fine art giclee prints 12" x 12" or 20" x 20" on textured watercolor style paper. Other custom sizes and finishes are available to order. |
