CALDER SKIES

A dramatic skyscape study of the cloud formations above Loch Calder with the Caithness hills behind, painted with a palette Knife and fingers in cool sombre muted greys and brown with a touch of magenta in the sky, in a loose gestural technique. In this painting I have tried to convey the cool changeable weather of this northern county of the Scottish highlands.
