COIGACH WATERFALL

A small impressionist study of a steep rugged conical mountain and gushing waterfall inspired by the hills and moorlands of  the area of Coigach on the west coast highlands of Scotland.
Painted in an atmospheric and impressionistic style in cool blue colours of the sky and hills with a warmer toned foreground of red ochre with a textured effect.
I have tried to portray the atmosphere of the soft wet misty weather with low lying cloud, of the Scottish mountains in autumn with a the rivers and waterfalls in spate
