CUILLIN FALLS

An atmospheric Scottish mountain abstract painting inspired by a waterfall  in the Cuillin mountains of Scotland on the Hebridean isle of Skye. Scotland.
Painted in an impressionist  bold colourful primary colours of red and blue with a dramatic and moody grey  sky, portraying the wet and windy weather and atmosphere of this mountainous rugged and remote area of the Scottish highlands.
The isle of Skye is often referred to as the misty isle or Eilean a'Cheo, in gaelic. In this artwork I have tried to convey the mistyness of the hills and the soft rain as well as the spray from the river and waterfall in spate.
