DEVIL'S BURN

A colourful organic Scottish abstract painting using a unique textural technique to depict a deep wooded ravine near Blair Atholl in the central highlands of Scotland. The water in this steep sided gorge was a dark inky black the darkest I've ever seen, with the river gushing throw the small rapids in a white foaming froth. The colours of the autumn leaves on this wet day where a dark red, and although the gorge is not really called the Devils Gorge I have named it as such due to the dramatic and wild atmosphere of this dramatic and hidden secret place.
