EILDON HILLS

Original contemporary Scottish art, mountain landscape view painting. Inspired by countryside around the Eildon hills in the Borders of Scotland near Melrose.  
​Used as an ancient bronze age hill fort as well as by the Romans, it has a monument to Sir Walter Scott, the famous border writer.
Painted in colorful acrylics with a touch of  metallic gold on a 8" x 8" box canvas, with an atmospheric stormy sky and impressionist semi abstract hills and foreground.
