HEBRIDEAN MACHAIR PAINTING

A contemporary Scottish painting inspired by the Hebridean Machair or grassland meadows of the highlands and islands of Scotland. In this atmospheric artwork I have tried to convey the dramatic weather of these remote areas of the British Isles, with the wind blowing the clouds across the sky and through the grass and flowers of the Machair grasslands.
Painted in a semi abstract impressionist style on a lightly textured canvas using my fingers. 12" x 12" on a lighty textured canvas.
