STORM OVER KILORAN BAY

In this acrylic landscape painting I have tried to convey the dramatic weather, light and atmosphere of an Atlantic storm  approaching the beautiful sandy beach o f Kiloran bay on the Scottish Hebridean Island of Colonsay, one of the smaller isles off the west coast of Scotland.
Painted in bright abstracted colours of blue and purple dramatic evening sky with a greenish turquoise sea, with a palette knife and fingers in a contemporary impressionistic textural style.
