A modern contemporary view of a small Scottish highland trout fishing loch in the north highlands of Sutherland Scotland.
Lochan Hakel is surrounded by wild desolate moorlands and overlooked by the craggy majestic mountainous peaks of Ben Loyal.
In this semi abstract painting I have tried to portray the tranquil atmosphere of a early evening fishing for trout beside the calm water of this lake. Painted in colourful abstracted red, blue and purple in a textural style.
