LOCHAN ORDHA
This original study is titled lochan Ordha Scottish gaelic for golden loch, as it is painted in shimmering metallic gold paint. It is loosely based on the many small Iochans or small pools or lakes on the north west coast highlands of Scotland, surrounded by rugged rocky moorland.
In this artwork I have tried to portray the grey misty damp atmosphere of a murky midgie day with the sun trying to appear through the mist.
