SEA FISHING

In this small modern contemporary artistic landscape study painted in acrylic on a textured canvas I have tried to convey the atmosphere of a day sea fishing from a boat of the west coast of Scotland.
Painted in cool blue and grey tones in a semi abstract impressionist style with a moody atmospheric rainy sky obscuring the rocks of the shore of an island, with the wake of the boat leaving its trail in the calm sea.
I have experienced many similar scenes to this whilst fishing for Mackeral or laying pots for lobster or prawns off the west coast or among the Hebrides.
