This atmospheric semi abstract impressionist landscape painting portrays a river and waterfall among the hills of the Scottish highlands. A linn is a Scots word for a waterfall.
This painting is inspired by  the scenery of the mountainous countryside of hills and glens of the picturesque Trossachs of Scotland.
Painted in a textural style in bold abstracted colours in red, blue and yellow on a lightly textured  canvas in a contemporary modern impressionistic style.
